‘A NICE BREAK FOR THE NATION’! By Victor Kinsman. (c)
Now whether you like the Royal family or not, tomorrow’s a wonderful day
Because, even if your not with us at the wedding, you get the day off… and with pay!
While we all get dressed in our Sunday best, in stiff stuffy clothes fit for court
You can relax and lay on your backs , in your gardens and seaside resorts
So just count your blessings that you’ve got a choice, whether to join us or not
The switch on you box can simply stay off, while we stand around getting hot
So remember Bank holidays aren’t just for Bankers, although they too must get away
For they need some time to spend all of their millions, they made out of you and your pay!
So now you can see, you might be relieved , that you received no invitation
For while Will and Kate have their memorable date, it’s still 'A Nice Break for the Nation'!
